A lady in Nanjing, China, was found begging at a bus station asking for 3 yuan for food and phone expenses and any thing extra for traveling. However, her Louis Vuitton bag has attracted the attention of many Chinese netizens speculating whether or not the woman is really in need of money and thus, dubbed her as the “LV woman.”

It’s been reported that the lady ignored a reporter who was inquiring about her situation. However when he started to take pictures, the lady jumped up and shouted at him, telling him that “she would destroy the camera if he continued.” She left her spot but returned only a few minutes later. Maybe she didn’t want people who knew her to expose her for what she really is? Or maybe she felt ashamed for begging and didn’t want people to know her situation? It’s sort of difficult to assess the situation (just because you have a Louis Vuitton bag doesn’t mean you can’t experience money problems).

It’s hard to tell if the bag is genuine but whether it is or not, it was a bad move to carry it while she was begging. People can misunderstand and scoff at her for doing such a thing. Then again, 3 yuan isn’t much money (less than fifty cents in the U.S.) so she might actually be in trouble.
