The “Ip Man 2″ official site is live! This is only means one thing! Ip Man 2, the sequel to the successful, “Ip Man,” will soon be released. In fact, checking out the website myself, the movie is slated to be released on April 29th. Sweet! I’ve watched the first movie, and I’m really excited to hear about this release of Ip Man 2. If this movie turns out to be better than Ip Man, which is one of the few action movies I loved in 2009, then it will indeed be the one of the best action films of 2010.


Here is the synopsis:

During the Sino-Japanese War, Ip Man ( Donnie Yen) protected the dignity of China by his wushu ( Wing Chun- martial art). As he had beaten the Japanese army and made them angry, he had to escape. After the war, the family lived in Foshan and experienced hardship. Ip Man therefore went to Hong Kong to start a new page with his family in 1949.

Ip Man’s family arrived Hong Kong. Fortunate enough to have Leung Kan ( Pierre Ngo), the chief editor of a newspaper, lending his roof to him for teaching Wing Chun there. A young man Wong Leung ( Huang Xiao Ming) gathered a few of his boxing friends and asked Ip Man to be their master. Ip Man then had his first group of pupils . . . . .
