A pair of brothers in Southern China was arrested on Monday for releasing 500 poisonous snakes near the home of a village leader. Apparently the brothers were in an argument with the village leader and decided to exact revenge by poisoning him with snakes. I think they went overboard with the snakes. I guess they wanted to make sure the guy got poisoned. Miraculously nobody got hurt though. So their efforts were wasted.

The brothers were able to obtain the short tail pit vipers from a market- they’re usually used for food and medicine. Makes me wonder why the seller didn’t get suspicious when they ordered 500 of these potentially dangerous creatures. Then again, the seller was probably getting a good amount of money for those snakes.

What I don’t get is why they would choose to use snakes as a means for revenge? What happened to egging someone’s home or ding dong ditching (not saying that we should do this)? Buying all those snakes and depositing them near the home just seems so troublesome (not to mention a waste of money).

Whooaa.. vipers.. i like snakes.. That’d be soo coool to handlee.. i want a pet snake but then .. i don’t why this crazy ‘insane’ brothers did that!

Maybe they thought that way no one would suspect them and think they came outa ... the ground? the forest? lol XD That’s scary though ... 500 and no ones hurt wowz ^^;
