A 30 year old, unemployed hikikomori (basically a reclusive person withdrawn from social life) was recently arrested for attempted murder which escalated to murder after two victims were found dead. The reason for this outrage? His father took away his Internet access.

Upon finding out that his Internet access was gone one night, the hikikomori rushed through his home and woke up his mom by beating her to demand what had happened to the Internet. Turns out the father took away the access because the hikikomori had put $30,000 worth of debt into his father’s credit card (which he used to buy video games and participate in online auctions).

Unfortunately the hikikomori was too enraged to compose his feelings and grabbed a knife from the kitchen and started to stab everyone in the household while they were asleep. His mother, brother and his brother’s wife survived despite being stabbed numerous times Unfortunately, the father and a one year old infant (his brother’s child) did not make out alive (yes, he actuallly stabbed the baby!). Luckily his other brother was out and escaped this ordeal.

After his stabbing frenzy, the hikikomori set his futon on fire with the intent of burning down the home. He was found standing outside of the home soaked with rain and blood and was promptly arrested.

This was not the first time the hikikomori had had trouble with the police. He has been reported at least nine times to the police for domestic disturbance. A neighbor has stated that they have not seen him for 15 years since he graduated from high school. “After he graduated those 15 years ago, I never set eyes on him again.” I guess he truly was a hikikomori in every sense of the word.
