A new five-member girl group is set to debut in China later this year in May under the musical company Lotte Group. The Lotte Girls, as they are now being called, are composed of two Korean natives and three Chinese natives. All five members were chosen through highly competitive auditions all through last year in both South Korea and China.
Many are speculating that these five girls (Choe Su Jeong, Gim Ye Seul, Go Keom Jo, Yang A and Wang Jeong Hui) are going to be giving the Wonder Girls a run for their money. JYP revealed earlier this year that the Wonder Girls would be promoting in China as well as the United States and South Korea. The Wonder Girls album is set to hit worldwide in June, and the emergence of a new Chinese group could cause some trouble. Heavy promotions for the group are set to begin next month, and Lotte Group has stated that they are also looking for break into the Korean market as well.
