Hong Kong playboy Edison Chen excused himself from the Hong Kong entertainment industry two years ago in 2008 when unsavory photos of himself and several other female celebrities were released to the public, causing widespread outrage at all parties involved. Well, Edison has recently announced that he will soon be making a comeback to the industry, putting his dark past behind him.

“With now as the best timing and me in my best state, I am ready for my come back,” said the 29 year old in an interview with the Global Times. Edison has announced that he will begin recording for a new album at the end of this month that will sum up his feelings about the past two years. Chen will supposedly be writing the lyrics himself in English and then asking professionals to help him translate them into Chinese. He has also revealed plans for an upcoming film appearance. “Of course I want to make big-budget blockbusters, but I am too young and inexperienced for that… Two or three years ago, I was like the old line which focuses on one direction and is more obvious. I wish for the new me to be more sophisticated and mature.”
