At a recent press conference, 34 year old Taiwanese-American singer Leehom Wang cleared up some rumors that have been floating around lately. The said press conference was a media event for a health supplement product that Wang is currently promoting.
When asked about the mysterious woman he was spotted with a couple of weeks ago at a post-production party, Wang immediately smiled and said that, “I find such reports amusing.” Before he could say anything further, he was interrupted, and the conversation moved away from the subject. While this has put some fans at ease, there are still some that are quite suspicious about this matter.
When asked about his “album delay,” Wang commented that his album was absolutely not delayed to avoid a conflict with fellow singer/rival Jay Chou’s comeback. “It has never been postponed. I threw myself into filming Love Announcement after I wrapped up Little Big Soldier.” The album will apparently be in conjunction with the movie and will release at the same time or shortly after the film release.
Regarding the future of his career, Wang commented that he plans to dabble in all mediums of entertainment. “I’m an over-committed person. My elder brother once told me that we will get to do only 80 per cent of what we want to do. So we may as well set high standards for ourselves. I bite off more than I can chew… Doing well is a bonus, but I don’t concern myself with that. I want every project to be meaningful and something that people can connect to.”
