YG Entertainment R&B singer Gummy and her mother, Jang Sook Jung, released both of their albums on the same day yesterday, April 29th. Gummy is making a highly anticipated comeback, and her mother is fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a singer.

The two genres of the album are markedly different. Gummy’s album is an R&B album with a definite contemporary feel, while her mother’s album is an album focused more on traditional and classical Korean music. Unfortunately, Jang Sook Jung’s album probably won’t be appealing to the younger crowd, which is a shame, because her voice is just beautiful.
