In a sad twist of fate, a 10 year old boy was found dead hanging from a tree in a park in Nagoya, Japan.

The death was unpredicted. What had happened? The boy wasn’t suicidal (well, no one noted that he was). There was no evidence of foul play. It was just a freak accident. The boy was climbing the tree when he suddenly lost his footing. Then the strap of his bag got caught on one of the branches, letting the boy hang three meters from the ground.

Someone found the boy and called the police. He was taken to the hospital but was already dead upon arrival.

What a sad story! I wonder why he was playing at the park all by himself? His family said that he often played in the park on holidays or on his way home from school but wouldn’t there be an adult nearby? A boy hanging from a tree isn’t exactly a common sight.
