At recent studio recordings of Mnet’s M! Countdown and KBS2 Music Bank, top Japanese labels - Sony, EMI, and AVEX - sent their representatives to do a little scouting on the beastly 2PM boys in Korea.

They anticipated the comeback performances of 2PM’s Without U and also closely observed other performances at the Anycall Corby Family Festival on April 24th at the Seoul Olympic Fencing Stadium.

Japanese label representatives are interested in 2PM because of the charisma that shows through their strong performances and manly beauty, matching their ‘beast idols’ nickname. Together they agreed, “There is no male group in Japan that shows that kind of style” and it has become known that they saw in 2PM a high potential for success [in Japan]. It also appears that they have calculated the need to look for new Korean stars that can replace the great popularity of the recently-dissolved DBSK in Japan.

2PM’s company JYP Entertainment revealed that 2PM is indeed in the middle of advancing plans for Japan. Fans are interested in seeing whether 2PM’s advancement into Japan will result in their being ‘the 2nd DBSK.’
