All the hype over Microsoft’s new Windows 7 operating system isn’t over yet! In Tokyo on May 9th, the Akihabara PC Game Festa event will be unveiling a new campaign for Windows 7 featuring an anime character named Nanami Madobe.

The character, who will be voiced by Nana Mizuki, was created specifically for this new Windows 7 campaign. Her name is a play on words, with nana meaning seven and madobe meaning “by the window.” In addition to the name, you can see that she’s also decked out with some subtle Windows accessories (hair clip and top button).

It’s cool how Microsoft comes up with different marketing strategies for different countries. Maybe the United States will be getting some sort of Windows 7 burger in the near future… Who knows?
