After the immense success of Ip Man and Ip Man 2, Mandarin Films Distribution is set on making a third film, Ip Man 3. What has some fans split, however, is the fact that Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou may be cast to portray the legendary martial artist, Bruce Lee.

“The company would love to shoot Ip Man 3 with the original cast and crew. However, we will have to discuss the collaborative details with producer Raymond Wong to understand the situation, and if Jay Chou and Donnie Yen’s names come up during our discussions, it would be the perfect team,” said a representative from the film crew. If Jay is indeed casted to play Bruce Lee, he will undergo intensive training for six months in order to look “convincing.”

… So… Jay comes out with another album just to go back to appearing in movies? I’m sorry, Jay, you’re a great musician and all, but your acting is just downright horrible. To try to pass off as the legendary Bruce Lee is blasphemy. Please stop.

Anybody else think he should stop trying to be in movies?
