Okay, so the above picture isn’t actually the Yoshihiro Yonezawa Memorial Library in Japan, but I’m guessing this is what a section of it may look like. There’s no doubt that manga and anime have become an integral part of Japanese culture, so it makes sense that Japanese libraries would start stocking manga- and anime-related material.

Well, this particular library in Japan just acquired over 1,800 manga magazines and have put them on display for public reading. With the age of computers and internet rocketing their way into peoples’ lives, it’s not surprising that libraries, which are slowly becoming less and less popular, are trying out new tactics to try to rack in the empty brains to fill them with knowledge… Manga knowledge, that is. Hey, maybe they’ll even pick up a real book while they’re there!
