On Friday, the Japanese Cartoonist Association announced the winners for 39th Annual Japan Cartoonist Awards. Keep reading to see what mangas and artists will come away with some extra pocket cash…

- GRAND PRIZE (500,00 yen ~ $5,400): Shinya Shokudo by Yaro Abe and Twilight Hospital by Makoto Ayusawa

- AWARD OF EXCELLENCE (200,000 yen ~ $2,200): Mibu Gishi Den by Takumi Nagayasu

- AWARD OF SPECIAL RECOGNITION (200,000 yen ~ $2,200): Aoni Yamane

- LITERARY GIANT AWARD: Hideko Mizuno

The actual ceremony will be held on June 11 at the Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka in Tokyo.
