Korean girl group from Cube Entertainment, 4minute, made their official Japanese debut recently. They released a remake of their hit Korean single entitled MUZIK. Despite an allegedly large fan base in Japan, the group did not do quite as well as expected.
On the first day of the song release, “MUZIK“ ranked at an unimpressive #16. Within twenty-four hours, the song dropped out of the top twenty songs. My guess is that Cube is going to be stubborn and try to salvage the debut before running back to Korea with their tails between their legs.
Here are some reasons I’ve compiled as to why they failed:
1. 4minute is still an inexperienced group
2. their control of the Japanese language is utterly incomprehensible
3. the so-called “large fan base” in Japan is probably non-existent
Sorry, Cube. I hate to say it, but I told you so! What do you guys think caused this embarrassment?
