Star of the hit movie Ninja Assassin, Rain, has stirred up quite the storm in the United States. It has recently been confirmed that Rain was voted in as a nominee for this year’s MTV Movie Awards in the Biggest Badass Star category.

While I highly doubt that he’s going to win (he’s got some pretty tough competition), what is notable is the fact that Rain is the first ever Korean to be nominated for an MTV movie award. Winning the actual award would make history, but like I said, his competition is tough. With big-named celebs like Sam Worthington, Jackie Chan and Hugh Jackman in the same category, the chances of Rain winning are slim to none (Sorry, guys, my vote is totally going to Hugh Jackman).

Still, if you’d like to support him, voting for the winner opens on May 12th. The actual awards ceremony will take place on June 6th in Los Angeles, CA.
