Korean singer ICONIQ has just recently broken into the Japanese market, releasing her first album entitled Change Myself. Well, the light-hearted R&B artist is taking the next step this summer. ICONIQ has announced that in addition to releasing a new single this summer, she will also be holding her first ever Japanese concert next week.

The currently untitled single is set to hit on July 28th and promises to be a song with “a refreshing dance tune fit for summer.” The concert will be held on May 16th at SHIBUYA-AX. VERBAL from m-flo will be featured as a special guest.

This is awesome news for her. I love her music, because it departs from the usual “cute” Japanese image for female artists. If you haven’t heard of her yet, check out one of her songs, entitled “Crystal Girl,” below.
