It’s a wild, wild Ktown out there. Someone’s gotta tame it — or at least base a Youtube series around it called, Ktown Cowboys. The series is currently making a splash at The Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. K-town Cowboys follows Johnny (Lanny Joon), a young Korean American from Richmond, Virginia, who finds himself transplanted in an alternate universe known as Los Angeles’ Koreatown.

Having been recently dumped by his girlfriend and with no immediate job prospects, Johnny is taken under the wing of his cousin Jason and a motley crew of partyhoppers who are dedicated to having a good time. Written and co-starring comedian Danny Cho (himself a YouTube sensation with his Kim Jong-Il E-Harmony video), each episode is no more than 10 minutes long and 7 episodes in duration. As of now, one episode will be released a week. Here’s the first episode:

So far, two episodes are out and it’s not bad at all. Where I formerly had no words to describe what LA’s Ktown is like, I now have Ktown Cowboys to reference. For those interested in what life is like in an a US-based Koreatown, Ktown Cowboys is very informative!
