On May 18th, DSP Entertainment came out with a good news and a bad news for SS501’s fans. Shall we start with the bad first? Member Kim Hyun Joong was involved in an accident.

A DSP representative exposed, “Kim Hyun Joong was driving on the 12th and he had a friend with him when they crashed into another car. He suffered injuries to his ribs and also got a lot of bruises and abrasions. Due to his injuries, it will take two weeks for him to recover fully. At the ‘Dream Concert 2010′ on May 22nd, he will only perform ballad songs.”

That sucks quite a bit for those who were probably looking forward to Hyun Joong ripping his shirt while dancing…

On the other hand, the good news is that their new album has been confirmed to be in the works despite the fact that their contract will expire in June.

Their company said, “SS501 will greet their fans on the 27th with a new mini album. All five members are still recording for it.”

What a day for all the Triple S out there…I sincerely hope Hyun Joong will recover soon.
