After four years from its original Japanese release, Studio Ghibli’s Tales From Earthsea is finally going to get a theatrical release in America on August 13.

The movie is based on science fiction author Ursula Le Guin’s EARTHSEA series. Why did it take so long to reach the US? Well it had something to do with Le Guin not being pleased with the adaptation and the production quality being criticized in Japan.

I’m probably going to watch this once it hits theaters. It’s also directed by Hayao Miyazaki’s son, Goro Miyazaki. I believe it’s the only movie he’s directed so far so it should be interesting to watch.
