Any Dragon Ball Z fans out there? Come on, I know there has to be some! Well, are you ready to relive the Dragon Ball Z experience all over again? Well, if you’re in the United States and get the Nicktoons channel, then you’re in luck!

A new, condensed version of the 1989-1996 Dragon Ball Z anime series is premiering on Nicktoons tonight at 8 PM eastern time. This version of the anime is designed to more closely follow the original manga by Akira Toriyama. In addition to the story edits, the series has also features a remastering into high definition, a re-recorded soundtrack and select scenes with new effects and/or re-animation.

The series debuted in Japan last year and has been a top ten anime for every week since its debut. The original series was amazing, but, yes, I think that it did run erroneously long at song points. I am really liking this idea of condensing to “better follow the original manga.” I know sometimes animators tend to get a little carried away when making an anime adaptation of a manga. Either way, I can’t wait to relive this epic journey again!

wow… dragon ball is really amazing


I don’t like the new intro as much as the original.

I remember this but from what I know they are cutting out all the comedy fillers and kicking it straight to the action.I was watching last night and so confused since I was half sleep. Looking at the tv ....Wait Gohon is a grown man now why has he shrunk!
