A man was jailed for strangling and slapping the corpse of his neighbor at his funeral on Friday in Tampines, Singapore.

This is the first case in which a person was jailed for “indignity to a human corpse.” He received 14 weeks for the offense which can go up to three years with or without a fine.

Reasons for his behavior are unknown as of now.

This isn’t the first time Muhamad-Ali Mahmod has been mixed up with the law. He’s been to jail before (16 months) for stealing a $150 phone last October and he was caught inhaling toluene (chemical substance) in March (another 14 weeks of jail). Dang, makes me wonder if he actually likes going to jail.
