Itadaki Street is a Monopoly-like board video game series produced by Square Enix that mixes together characters from their beloved Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest franchises. The newest addition to the cast? A chibi-fied Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII.

Itadaki Street games have been previously released for the Super Famicon, Playstation, Playstation 2, PSP and Nintendo DS. The newest installment to the series will be for cellphones. Unfortunately, this series haven’t had any international releases so I doubt we’ll get to see a domestic version of the game. A shame, really because 1) it looks like a fun game and I like playing Monopoly and 2) I’d buy any video game related to Final Fantasy (board games, rpgs, adventure, Tic-Tac-Toe…you name it!).

Anyway, the main focus here is a chibi Lightning. She’s so cute that I want to hug her to death but won’t in fear that she’ll kick my butt if I did. She sure can pull off the cute chibi look without letting go of her “aura of coolness.”
