So… what exactly do you use the iPad for? Well, according to some doctors at Kobe University in Japan, the iPad can apparently be used to aid in surgery!

A group of doctors trail-blazed a new path for the increasingly popular iPad from the Apple corporation. Using an anatomy application, doctors used the iPad to pinpoint and zoom in to different parts of the body that were relevant to the procedure.

While this may seem like something cool, I am pretty sure this was more or less a publicity stunt. Most hospitals, especially in Japan, are equipped with touchscreen monitors that have far more advanced viewing options than the iPad. Also, it doesn’t seem like the device has its own stand or anything, so one slip of a finger and the iPad might come crashing into the patient’s innards! We don’t want that happening!
