Many of us all enjoy a good romance film once and awhile, right? I bet you get that flutter in your heart when the two destined lovers finally have their first simple kiss… Well, what you may not know is all the hard work behind filming that one perfect kiss!

While they may not be starring in a typical love film, William Chan and Gillian Chung say that they both feel the pain from the work behind getting one kissing scene just right. The upcoming Hong Kong movie, Ex, features a scene where William has to kiss Gillian in a chair. Sounds simple? Wrong!

Gillian expressed that, “There was one take that because William has to come close to me excitedly, his mouth hit mine. It hurt a lot that we had to stop filming immediately, then we continue after letting our swollen lips to relax.” William further elaborated by saying that since he constantly had to have his arms holding the chair, his arms went numb after multiple takes.

Both agree that since the two are close friends in real life, the intimate scenes were quite awkward to do.
