The NBA is “where amazing happens.” It’s their slogan! This next piece of news is definitely worthy of that slogan, because media sources all over the world have just caught word of an upcoming Chinese film that may be a collaboration of various NBA stars such as Kobe Bryant and Yao Ming along with famous Chinese actors. The name of the movie? Amazing, of course.

The movie will be directed by Hu Xuehua and has already been given the thumbs up by NBA commissioner David Stern. Because of this approval, it is speculated that many NBA players will probably be on board for the project, which will begin filming in the basketball off-season in August. The movie is set to revolve around American NBA players coming to China for basketball training. What they can learn from short Asians, I have no idea.

Names such as Yao Ming, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson and Shawn Yue have been thrown out into the open for casting. Although their roles in the movie have not yet been confirmed, it has been revealed that several of these individuals are currently in the process of looking over contracts and will most likely be cast in the film. The chairman of the Shanghai Film Group Corporation, Ren Zhonglun, said that, “At the present time, it can only be said that the name of the movie has been determined. The actors, investors, and other details and problems will have to wait until after we sign the contract to be revealed.

This movie sounds like it’s going to be amazing! Let’s just hope it doesn’t come out to be something lame… Like Jay Chou’s Kung Fu Dunk… Let’s hope for another success like Space Jam! What do you think?
