i-Me is a new girl group that’s been causing quite stir in Asia and especially in China. Composed of five girls from South Korea, Thailand and China, the group boasts international appeal. The group has recently released a full length song, entitled “Aiiya,” and a dance teaser in preparation for their debut.
The three Chinese girls are from the 2009 Super Girls singing competition in China. They are Li Yuanxi (leader), Yi Yizi and Liu Meihan. The Thai member is the winner of the 2009 Thai Idol, Na Lin. Na Lin is also half German. The Korean member is named Xuan Jing.
The group collectively has a large language base, including English, Korean, Thai, German, Japanese and a few dialects of Chinese. Check out their full song, “Aiiya,” and their dance teaser below:
I don’t know about you guys, but this group seems really promising! With so many of these girls coming from highly competitive singing competitions, it’s no question that they’ve got some serious talent. Now it’s just a matter of talent on the production end. These clips show that these girls definitely have a wide range of music genres at their disposal. I’ll be keeping an eye on them!
