Korean actor Lee Junki has officially finished his basic military training and, starting today, will begin his active military service for the government… as a public relations representative, that is.

According to Korean law, all males must serve a required two years in the army, even celebrities. Celebrities, however, usually get the easier jobs, which is also true in this case. Lee Junki will be working as a PR rep for the army in order to help inform people about the benefits of supporting the military.

In addition to being picked for this job, it was revealed that Junki was one of four recipients of an award for excellence during basic training. These four were chosen out of nine hundred recruits. Congratulations!

Here’s an interesting question: Do you think it’s fair that celebrities get special treatment in the army?
