After a couple weeks of testing, we’re ready to show you how nice Ningin users have been! You all should start seeing the little smiley face next to your username if you did something nice that catches the attention of one of our mods or admins. That little smiley face means you’ve been a good user and who knows, you just might get something nice from Ningin back - even though being nice is it’s own reward =)

FYI that photo above is me being nice by answering a question. See how easy it is to be nice and get points for it on Ningin?

Originally, the idea was that mods will be the ones that give out Nice Points. But I since changed that as I’ve made practically evey one mods. Now anyone above level 10 can give NPs. To give someone NPs, simply click the NP link and that’s it.

What do we give out Nice Points for? Well let me tell you:

- Welcoming new users
- Answering other users questions (correctly)
- Congratulating people for winning contests
- Offering good ideas
- Sending newbies to our guides
- Directing people to our contests and giveaways
- and so on. You have a lot of discretion as to what you consider “nice” actions.

Some guidelines regarding NPs:

- You cannot give yourself NPs.
- NPs can only be given once for each post.
- At this time you can only give NPs for blog comments and forum comments.
- All NP actions are logged should issues arise with favoritism. To avoid such issues, avoid giving NPs to real-life friends.
- Should NPs get reversed by an admin, you will be penalized by losing EXP (a lot of EXP).
- Don’t give NPs to comments older than Jun. 1 2010.

I’m pretty serious about some sort of Nice Point contest - like the person who gives the most Nice Points and the person who received the most NPs or something to that effect. Let’s talk later about that.

Next big thing I hope to unveil: Ningin Voices. It’s another way to earn massive amounts of EXP and some Auction Points as well.

if people are about to all get the same privileges whats the whole point of mods? is there something you dont want people to know, hell more like are you trying to cover up something.

Well recently everyone on Ningin level 3 and above are now given given moderator privileges.
And everyone level 10 and above can give out Nice points.

So no, definitely no mods covering things up, haha~

i mean like people could create multiple accounts and then give nice points to themselves :/
and i dunno where to suggest ideas xD
theres no comment box in the “improvin ningin” topic o.o

I don’t tell you guys everything about how the system works =)

And if your caught, I might reset your EXP and pins back to zero instead of banning you - especially for high level accounts.

You guys could help detect fraud too. If you see people getting nice points for posts that don’t deserve nice points, report it!

ningin voices? i’m already entirely interested LOL.
i had a feeling the nice points privilege would be given to practically everyone now that we’re all mostly mods now ^^
but level 10+ that’s much better than what i’d thought.
i see the link now but i guess it won’t work til i’m level 10 xD
