The summer is right around the corner and music is always a big part of the fun. There’s nothing like blasting Kpop songs at full volume, right? So, to get everyone ready, here is a playlist I’ve put together of some of my 2010 summer picks.

I’m a big fanatic of FT Island’s sentimental ballads, which they’re known for, but “Flower Rock” is a totally different story. Its carefree-style is a perfect way to kick things off.

“Flower Rock” segues perfectly into CN Blue’s “Sweet Holiday.” Mellow, cheerful, kind of like taking a siesta at a pool side with a lemonade. Mmmm.

Since we’re all pretty chill, I’m throwing in One Way’s “Wrong Number” for comfort. It’s an easy listener.

I just HAD to throw in Big Bang’s “Tell Me Goodbye.” It’s my personal pick for slow-tempo song of the summer.

Picking things back up with a dance-track is MBLAQ’s “One Better Day.” Fist-pumping, much?

Unf, unf, unf - E.Via’s “Shake!” I mean, really, who won’t be shaking it this summer?

I was debating whether or not to include 2NE1’s “Try to Follow Me” since we’re all aware that their comeback is in the works as we speak and they are most likely going to put out some awesome jams this summer, but since we’re still waiting, here it is anyway.

To wrap things up, I think I had no choice but to add the song I am most addicted to right now - “Bonamana” by Super Junior.

That’s what’s going to be on my summer playlist, but the question here is what will be on yours?

I’d add CABI song by SNSD and 2PM of course!

I have this tradition that every year on New Year’s at the stroke of midnight I play I song I picked to represent the coming year. This year it’s “Please Don’t Go” by 2NE1. I also have a birthday song which this year it’s “Zen Me Ban” by S.H.E. But I never thought of doing an entire playlist for a season. Thank you! =)
Being that I’m listening to the newest releases the most- it is inevitable that when I look back on this summer that I will remember these songs, so for my playlist I would have to go with songs such as:

- and of course my song of the year- Please Don’t Go - 2NE1

i like your playlist, the songs on here are def must-listens.
though if i could make one critique, being the girl group lover that i am, i’d suggest adding a couple other girl group songs?
to mix it up a bit since the majority of these are male singers.

man, if only there were a lot of songs from this summer that are actually good enough to be in my library, because outside of gummy’s flawless mini album, this summer has been SLOW. like, it makes paint drying seem like a splitsecond. sigh.

but if I had to make a list of deserving songs, the list would be ridiculously short, but they would be (alphabetical order by artist):

4minute - HuH (the remastered Kim Hyuna-free version), which I edited personally.
4minute - Cool and Natural
Big Bang - Tell Me Goodbye
Davichi - Please Don’t Leave Me
f(x) - Mr. Boogie
Gummy - There is No Love
Gummy - Because of You
Gummy - Because I’m a Man
Gummy - What Can I Do

...and, yeah, that’s about it. there just aren’t that many songs that are worth listening to from May 1 until now, and that’s just really unfortunate. =(
