Summer is just around the corner, and with college kids already done and high school kids running the last stretch, the music industry is getting ready to keep us entertained with some hot summer tunes. Keep reading to find out which summer debuts and sizzling comebacks I’m looking forward to.

Leehom Wang
You guys could probably care less, since I think most of you are largely into Korean music, but that surely doesn’t stop me from being totally psyched about the comeback of my favorite artist of all time! Although a date has not been officially released yet, it’s been announced earlier this year that Taiwanese-American artist Leehom Wang would be making his comeback to the music industry sometime during the summer of 2010. As a composer and writer for the majority of his songs, Leehom takes his music personally and brings it upon himself to find a middle ground between music of both the Western world and that of his Chinese roots.

+ The YG Family
Having pushed back their plans since the beginning of the year, the folks over at YG Entertainment have been carefully putting together their comeback packages and are preparing to set this summer on fire. With Gummy already providing an excellent preview to the talent that’s to come, the return of 2NE1, Big Bang and SE7EN are sure to add to the smoldering summer music heat.

+ After School
After their BANG! single, After School announced that they were going to be temporarily breaking up into sub-groups for promotions. Recently, Orange Caramel, a group composed of Nana, Raina and Lizzy was revealed. While I am not as excited for them as I will be for the rest of the girls, I will say that I am overall thrilled that they are making a comeback so fast after their promotions! I am especially psyched to see Kahi rock it out solo style…

+ Son Dam Bi
I’m not so much excited for this comeback as I am interested to see what she does next. For me, Son Dam Bi has gone somewhat downhill since “Cry Eye,” which was an excellent song. She is supposedly preparing to return to a hip-hop-esque style, and I am willing to give her another chance before I lose interest.

+ BoA
… and last but certainly not least, we have BoA. BoA, who has been on hiatus from the Korean music industry for a couple of years now, is set to make a comeback late this summer. After her failed ventures in the United States, it’s been speculated that she will be returning to her “Girls on Top” style of music. What does this mean? Well, it means that I’m really looking forward to what she has to offer. “Girls on Top” was, in my opinion, BoA’s best song. BoA definitely has it going on in all departments of talent, it’s just a matter of good production now.
So, what summer debuts and comebacks are you guys looking forward to?
