After wrapping up a successful tour with Epik High, Korean-American rapper Kero One’s ready to release his follow up project this month! June 15 marks the official release date of Kero One’s third studio album ‘Kinetic World.’ If hip hop, rap and jazzy influences sound delightful to you, Kero One’s got you covered on all three turfs!

Kero One, as he’s described on the website to his very own indie label pluglabel.com, “stands as a true testament to the do-it-yourself success story.”

San Francisco native, Kero One, went from being a web designer and DJ (though he still is, in a sense) to claiming the award for Best Hip Hop Album of 2006 from Remix Magazine for his debut and self-produced album ‘Windmills of the Soul‘ (2006).

In 2009 Kero One released his sophomore album ‘Early Believers‘, which spawned hits like “Welcome to the Bay“, a clever ode to his hometown of San Francisco, and “Keep Pushin’,” a mixture of guitar and steady percussion, along with Kero One’s melodies, delivering an exhilarating song that unravels beautifully by the end.

Back in May 18, “Asian Kids” off Kero One’s brand new album was released on iTunes and that song already is popping. Listen to it below as Kero One, Tablo of Epik High, MYK and Dumbfoundead lay down the fundamentals in being Asian rappers.

Here are a couple more raw videos of the making of “Time Moves Slowly featuring The Tones” and “Fast Life featuring ESNA,” both on ‘Kinetic World’ which is now officially available on iTunes (link).

I don’t know about you, but I’m all over this album right now!
