Where in the world would you expect to find a zombie maid cafe? In Japan of course! Maid cafe Schatz Kiste (German for treasure chest) recently revealed their zombie theme called Maid of the Dead, serving up fingers and eyeballs for their customers. Mmmm….how appetizing! From what I read, however, this theme is only temporary. I think the cafe had a zombie theme last year too.

The zombie cosplay is well done. It almost makes me want to barf (which, I guess, is the point of the cosplay). Also, the food doesn’t look as gross as it sounds (well, at least to me it doesn’t). The first two dishes actually looks pretty good to eat but the last one with the eyeball is too much for me to handle.

I think the zombie maid cafe is an interesting idea. I would totally go to one if I could. Eating there, however, is another thing altogether. It depends on how grotesque the decorations are. I don’t like to look at disgusting things when I’m eating. I get queasy. Wouldn’t want to add my own “decorations” on the table if you know what I mean.

Would you eat at a zombie maid cafe?
