Shortly after the release of her H-Logic album, Lee Hyori was slammed with multiple plagiarism accusations, almost making her album invalid. After her promotions, Hyori released her own personal statement about the situation, acknowledging the plagiarism. Well, it looks like Mnet is finally going to take it to the next step and will be suing Bahnus Vacuum, the company behind this controversy.

After having initially been told that these songs were produced and entitled to Bahnus, the company bought the songs and used them on the H-Logic album. Upon further investigation, however, it was revealed that six of the songs were, in fact, not his at all.

While they are not fully at fault, both Mnet and Hyori are going to be taking full responsibility for the issue that arose. This lawsuit and the temporary standstill of Hyori’s musical career are what they feel are a step in the right direction.

I personally am satisfied with the action that is being taken right now. While Hyori’s hiatus from the music industry may seem harsh, I think it’s really the best thing for her right now. She needs to seriously take some time off to reflect on what’s happen and move on. I sincerely wish her the best of luck in the future!

What do you think about how this is playing out?
