Although Hangeng has not been promoting with Super Junior, it’s been reported that he is still, in fact, in the group. News have also came out about how this member would have to pay some high costs if he wants to terminate his SM Entertainment contract.

In 2001, Hangeng signed on an SM contract and currently has 5 more years till this contract expires.

As of the moment, it is understood that Hangeng will need to pay 2 billion won (about US $1,692,476.70) as a ‘redemption’ fee. Then according to some sources, if Hangeng is to work under another company, he needs to pay 3 times the money that SM had used on his training, and 2 times of the relative money loss when he leaves.

The reason why the costs are so high is because as Hangeng’s popularity soars in China and SM had arranged a lot of performance and schedules for him as well as Super Junior, and the fee used now will also be counted on him if he quits.

Meanwhile, the young artist is trying to take on as many gigs as he can, from attending many activities in China to singing the promotion song of Asian’s Games and Asian Game’s Voluteers. According to other sources, the price which Hangeng accepts to sing the songs aren’t low, instead, it may even exceed 7 digits. So at least fans can be a little optimistic and think positive for him.
