If you haven’t heard yet, then you’re hearing it right here: Sunye’s father has recently passed away. JYP Entertainment has recently released a statement about the situation and the fate of the Wonder Girls leader.

Here’s a small portion of the statement that was made:

“Sunye’s father passed away today. Sunye is staying in Korea after finishing her Singapore promotions. She is currently at the funeral home working on funeral preparations.
The members are staying in the U.S because of their tour, but because they can’t take care of Sunye, they are very sorry… Sunye is suffering very deeply because of her close relationship with her father. Because she is crying so much, she is physically weak. After the funeral, we will discuss with Sunye about future plans and the U.S tour.”

Looks like Sunye is going through a lot right now. I don’t know how stepping down from the U.S. tour is going to affect their transition, but I do know that Sunye needs to take some time off right now. Let’s all give her our deepest condolences.

My condolences.. It’s to horrible to lose someone who’s really close to you, I hope Sunye will get happier back soon :(

This is absolutely terrible :( It sucks more that the other members can’t come to comfort her…
I saw her pictures at her father’s funeral, and she looked so weak T_T
I hope she can get through this… hwaiting!!


Prayer go out to her and her family.  I hope that her and her family have a big support system right now.  I also hope that she takes the time off that is needed for her to mourn and not rush back into things.  Such sad news indeed.... :-(
