Recently SS501’s leader Kim Hyun Joong visited the city of Manila in the Philippines in order to meet fans. Taking advantage of this trip, the artist did not hesitate to do some charitable acts along the way.

Earlier this year, Kim Hyun Joong visited the Philippines to meet with an organization ‘Abiertas House Of Friendship‘ to see the condition of the schools and children. After witnessing their bad conditions, he immediately decided to donate the amount of 1 million peso (about US $21,906). The organization has since began construction for a middle school building and are planning on naming the building after Kim Hyun Joong.

This time, Kim Hyun Joong hopes to expand his influence to bring awareness to the organization so he participated in their charity concert, which was held on the June 19th. As a token of appreciation, ‘Abiertas House of Friendship’ has awarded a Mr. Kim with a plaque for his ‘unending support’ for the institution.

Meanwhile, it is known that this institution helps single mothers, sexually abused girls and indigent senior citizens who have had broken lives and need to find a path for their integrity and respect in order to become contributing members of society. Therefore having charitable and kind celebs like Kim Hyun Joong is much appreciated to spread their awareness!
