A press conference was held this week and ex-Super Junior member Hangeng shared several details about his upcoming solo concert in Beijing and a little about his lawsuit against SM Entertainment.

The press conference was held at the Great Wall’s Mu Tian Yu on June 22. Hangeng spoke about his upcoming album, which will reportedly be released on July 27. He shared that he worked with some well-known producers and has even worked with the late Michael Jackson’s choreographers to plan the choreography for his songs.

Reporters were eager to ask about the lawsuit, “news about paying [large sums of money] is circulating around the internet, is this true?” to which Hangeng answered by saying that his lawyers are dealing with the situation and there’s not a conclusion to the issue right now. Additionally, to the reporter’s questions about the lawsuit, Hangeng answered “I’m very grateful to my previous company. From my debut in 2005, every step I’ve taken, they are all given by SM. So I’m really grateful to them.” Hangeng has extended an invitation to the other Super Junior members to attend his debut solo concert. Aw.

If you were wondering if releasing an album and holding a concert was legal under the current circumstances, Hangeng and his trusted team of lawyers say it is. His concert will be held on July 17 and 18, a week before the release of his solo album.
