Yesterday, it was revealed that the father of Wonder Girls leader Sunye passed away. Although the girls have a tight schedule to follow, it looks like Sunye will be temporarily stepping down to mourn the loss of her father. Her fellow members, Yeeun, Sohee, Yubin and Hyelim, will be staying by her side until the burial ceremony.

A representative from JYP Entertainment said that, “The Wonder Girls members have returned to Korea on 25th June. They have all visited the wake of SunYe’s late father and is by her side comforting her. They will stay by her side till the day of burial.”

The girls were initially set to make performances on the 25th, but plans for those performances have been delayed to another time due to this tragic event. I’m glad to see that Sunye can find comfort in her fellow members and that JYP is being so gracious as to delay their schedules, even if it is just for a little bit.
