It’s been rumored for a while that once Kim Hyun Joong’s contract expired, he would be parting ways with DSP Media. Many of you probably crossed your fingers for this rumor to be labeled as false, but unfortunately, I’m here to inform you that it is in fact all true.

SS501’s now former-leader Kim Hyun Joong has decided not to renew his contract with DSP Media. Instead, he’s officially signed an exclusive contract with KeyEast, a company veered more toward talents of the on-screen variety. Meaning Hyun Joong will probably start taking his acting career a little more seriously.

His leave has everyone wondering about the future of SS501. Will they continue as a 4 member ensemble? Will SS501 replace Kim Hyun Joong? Only time will tell.

He’s leaving?! T_T hope ss501 continues~!


The group SS501 continues to exist, but the question is though who’ll be the leader, if he stays or not in the group and how it will be handled if the other members decide to stay in the company, while their leader is in another label.
