Son Dam Bi is an artist of many faces. Starting off her musical career with a fierce hip hop style, she quickly dropped that act and moved on to a pop image. That image was then replaced with a sexy image, and that image was subsequently rolled out for a strangely produced retro image. Well, Dam Bi is now ready for her comeback to the music industry with a brand new image. Keep reading to see what I think!

Son Dam Bi is definitely has the talent to be a great artist. Not only can she sing but she can also dance exceptionally well. After her first single, Cry Eye, however, I felt as if she toned it down to make her music more “accessible” to the general South Korean audience. Although it would be nice to see her return to a more hip hop centered concept, I am actually quite pleased with what her new song is bringing.

“Can U See” is a mid-tempo R&B song that is set to show off Dam Bi’s maturity and growth as an artist. With influences coming from contemporary dance and other facets of art, Dam Bi’s new concept is definitely a refreshing one compared to all the superficial girl group action being thrown at the public these days.

Still, I can’t help but note that this song really isn’t living up to the artist that Dam Bi can be. It’s definitely a step in the right direction, but at the end of the song, I’m left wanting something more. Check out the full song below:
