Angelito Araneta Jr., a chef in Manila, Philippines, has created the world’s most expensive sushi. How expensive you ask? $100? $300? $600? Try $2,750.
The actual ingredients in making the sushi aren’t really different from any other sushi. It’s the way he decorates it that distinguishes it from the rest. This sushi has thin 24 carat gold sheets sprinkled with .20 carat African diamonds.
Who would pay for such an expensive dish? You only get five pieces of this blinged out sushi and for what? $2,750? There are billions of other things you could use that money for. Why buy sushi that won’t even make you full (at least, it doesn’t look that filling)?
There are some extremely wealthy people who do order this sushi usually for marriage proposals or for courtships. Even if I was a millionaire, I don’t think I would spend over 2K for a roll of sushi. Would you?
