I was so happy and excited when I first found out that Rurouni Kenshin was going to become a live action movie. However that happiness was short-lived when I found out that it was only a rumor.

Sato Takeru is also rumored to play the role of Kenshin Himura. He’s currently in a drama called Ryoma den where he plays a samurai from the Edo period called Okada Izo. I honestly don’t know much about Sato Takeru but at least he has experience playing a samurai.

Supposedly the movie is to start shooting this summer. I hope it’s true but the sources this piece of news came from are not %100 reliable. I guess we’ll just have to wait for an official announcement.

Also, do you think Sato Takeru would make a good Kenshin?
