In Japan, 66-year-old Tamiko Matsuta was arrested for attacking a student with her umbrella when he didn’t give up his bus seat for the elderly woman.
Witnesses report that the lady suddenly flipped out when the student did not offer her his seat (he was, however, sitting on a silver seat- seats designated for the needy a.ka. elderly, handicapped, etc.). Using her leg and umbrella as weapons, she attacked the student, leaving him with bruises and a broken nose. What a fierce old lady!
Matsuta has not admitted nor denied the assault. Police have questioned her before for other assualts involving students and were given verbal warnings. I guess old habits die hard.
