Leehom Wang is set to release a new album on August 8. Okay, now give me about five minutes while I go scream joyfully from the mountaintops… Now that that’s over with, I’m sure you guys want some more information, right? Well, you’ve come to the right place, because Leehom’s #1 fan (yours truly) is going to fill you in on some information about his upcoming album!

The album, which will be his latest since the Heart Beat album from December 2008, is entitled “十八般武艺,” which roughly translates to “Eighteen Types of Martial Arts.” The title track for the album is called “柴米油鹽醬醋茶.” “柴米油鹽醬醋茶” is a Chinese idiom for “Daily Necessities.” Leehom says that the song is an ode to all the simple things in life. To describe the song, he uses an ancient Chinese proverb: “早晨開門七件事─柴米油鹽醬醋茶” This roughly translates to “The seven things needed when opening the door in the morning - firewood, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea.” The official music video for the title track, which features Vivian Hsu, is shown below:

As I said earlier, the album will be released on August 8, but only through a special YesAsia pre-order. If you choose not to pre-order, then your album will no doubt come a bit later. You can pre-order the album now and choose from two special pre-order editions: “Home” and “Love.” Each version comes with a specially molded key with Leehom’s signature engraved into it. The “Home” edition features a house-shaped key, while the “Love” edition features a heart-shaped key. Pictures of each are shown below:

You can pre-order both editions NOW on YesAsia! Click the respective links to pre-order the “Home” and “Love” editions for $19.99 (minus shipping). Also, if you choose to order both editions, you get a one dollar price break, with your total coming to $38.98 (minus shipping).

So, what are you waiting for, Leehom fans?
