Unlike the United States, it seems like South Korea has celebrity endorsements for just about anything! The latest endorsement contract that has been signed is one between Korean idol Lee Hyori and a Korean beef company. Keep reading to get the scoop and to see Hyori posing with a cow!

If you didn’t already know, Koreans have a very strong sense of patriotism. Citizens rarely buy anything that is imported from another country. This is evident from the fact that the two largest cell phone companies in South Korea are Samsung and LG, both South Korean founded companies. From gadgets to food, almost everything purchased by the public is Korean made!

Hyori said in an official statement that, “It’s my first time becoming an ambassador for advertising purposes. I’ve been in the industry for awhile but just never got the opportunity to become an ambassador. I really love Korean beef so I’m happy to do this. I want to be part of spreading Korean beef to the world. I hope more people can eat Korean beef and become stronger through it… I got rid of my sexy image through Family Outing. I was happy to accept this opportunity since everyone loves Korean beef.”

It’s good to see Hyori bouncing back from her plagiarism woes. And now, as promised, here’s Hyori posing with a cow:
