There were rumors flying around that an Asian-American version of Jersey Shore was in the works. Well, things are turning out to be true now that the reality show - appropriately titled KTown - has revealed photos of the 8 cast members during their first night out. Oh, boy…

The pilot episode was filmed over the weekend in Koreatown (Los Angeles, CA) with the newly revealed cast: Young Lee, Jennifer Field, Joe Cha, Scarlet Chan, Violet Kim, Peter Le, Steve Kim, and Jasmine Chang (pictured above).

The mastermind behind this lovely idea for a reality show is R&B superstar Tyrese Gibson. He’s the producer and from the pics of the group’s first night out, he’s aiming to ignite everyone’s Asian persuasion with a blend of Jersey Shore’s disastrous behavior and a shot of kimchi fried rice here and there for good measure.

Expect drinking, drama, and hot studs abound! You can follow the show on Twitter here for current updates if you just can’t wait for all this to unfold on your TV.

How do you feel about K-Town and its approach to shedding light on the Asian American culture?
