The popular character Jihoo by Korean actor Kim Hyun Joong and Hanazawa Rui by Japanese actor Shun Oguri from the popular live-action drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ have met each other for the very first time.

It’s been reported that the two had a meeting and an interview together on July 20th in Seoul, Korea. The reason for the meeting is, of course, because these two heartthrobs play the same role (under different names) in the drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ or ‘Hana Yori Dango’.

A spokesperson stated, “The meeting between the two stars was private, and the interview will go on for a short time.”

Shun Oguri is currently staying in Korea because he was invited to the Puchon International Film Festival for his independent film ‘Surely Someday’. To many fans’ delight, he found time to meet with Kim Hyun Joong after his schedule with the festival finished.

Aside from the hot young actors, which version of the drama did you guys like better? Japanese or Korean?

ive seen the korean version but im reluctant to see the japanese version i cnt imagine anyone else playing those roles lol

I can’t choose which one I like better.. both versions have their own goods and bads.. so I’ll say I like both :D

I would think they both have their own unique aspects..


It is funny....I like them both equally...there are different aspects from each that if you could put them all into one then it would be even better.  Ji Hoo is my fav character no matter what version it is though.  total ♥ throbs!!

OMG I loved both versions of it. With me watching the Japanese version I though I was watching the manga all over again it was like the book transferred to the screen because everything that happened happened in the manga. The Korean version had an original plot line but the stuff that happened was also in the book. It was like what the japanese version didn’t have the korean version did and vice versa. Example in the Japanese version Rui didn’t play violin but in the korean version Jihoo did. I loved both f4’s. Jun Pyo and Domyouji did make my heart flutter but then so did jihoon and Rui.


I love Hyunjoong and I love Oguri Shun. Many people chose the Korean version because they’re biased. As a person who watched both version, I would have to say the Japanese version is the best. Sure the Korean version had good looking actors but they were kind of dull. They’re kind of over-dramatic. The Japan version won over my heart because of their acting and their acting is what made me realize they’re pretty hot x) I couldn’t even finish the Korean version without fast forwarding a lot.

Korean version: I didn’t know if I should root for Jihoo or Jun Pyo…
Japan version: I felt like I was the character. I was torn between Rui and Tsukasa, I loved both.

I am not bashing the Korean version. It’s simply my opinion

I didn’t even know Kim Hyun Joong was the leader of SS501, before I watched BOF, hehe :$. I’m currently sort of watching Meteor Shower^^


Aha, like I said before.. I love both, maybe oguri Shun a little bit more just cuz I’m a big fan of him xD but both did great.
