Oh! great’s ecchi martial arts manga Tenjo Tenge, will finally come to an end on the shelves of Japan.

After a 24 episode anime run, a 2 episode straight to video release, an animated movie and over 21 manga volumes, the Tenjo Tenge manga will finally be laid to rest with the next chapter release in next month’s issue of Ultra Jump.

What do I think of this? I say it’s about time! I felt that the series was dragging a bit like Oh! Great’s other manga, Air Gear. Hopefully since he’s finishing up this series, maybe he’ll start to finish Air Gear too? I’m starting to lose interest in that manga. Way too long.

Would I recommend the Tenjo Tenge manga? Yes and no. The artwork is amazing (in the beginning it’s ok but gets even better in later volumes) and the characters are interesting. The story, however, gets a bit confusing and a chunk of the manga takes place in past. If you’re the type of person who skims through manga then I don’t recommend readng Tenjo Tenge. It gets too complicated. If you’re into martial arts and action, then Tenjo Tenge is a great read. I have to warn you though that the manga is full of fanservice for the guys. So if you’re put off by nudity, then you shouldn’t read this.
