G.NA (Gina Choi) has been called ’super rookie’ ever since her solo debut with the song ‘I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better’. Why? Because she was actually the leader of Five Girls, a group consisted of five members including Wonder Girls’ Yoobin, After School’s UEE and Secret’s Hyosung.
These three ex-members congratulated their leader for her late debut through video clips that were revealed live on KBS 2TV ‘Music Bank’ , showing their closeness and affection.
After School’s UEE said, “The leader and the unnie of Five Girls, Gina finally debuted. With a strong voice and with a perfect performance, I hope that she will be able to surprise us once again.”
Secret’s Hyosung said, “My favorite unnie, Gina, debuted. I can feel the tears coming because I’m really happy for her.” She added, “It had been more than 5 years since I met Gina. It’s Gina who really worked hard when after all long wait. I’m even more nervous and I’m really happy to know that we will be active together. Show her a lot of love.”
Wonder Girls’ Yoobin said, “Congratulations for your debut. It’s been almost 5 years since we have met and I’m sorry that I couldn’t contact you more often. After hearing news about your debut I was really happy. Let’s meet up later in the studios, chat together, and work hard on our activities together.”
Back then, Five Girls had prepared for their debut through a cable reality program but they were torn apart due to their management problems. But now we can see that four members already regained their status as singers.
